A Taste of Tulum
We love Tulum. The white sand, blue water, margaritas, tacos, yoga, and exploring. It has everything we look for in a destination. And that’s why we go back again and again. And you can come with us. In October. We thought we’d give you a little taste of what Tulum has to offer and the adventures you might find there. But only a taste.
The beaches are worth writing home about
The beach in Tulum is the stuff of daydreams. You know the beaches you think about when it’s cold and all you want to do is lie in the sun and read? Yep. This is the stuff of that. White sand as far as you can see, ice blue water, some places dotted with big beautiful rocks behind you, some just with a really bendy palm tree here and there.
You can rent a bike and explore the town
In the town you’ll find gorgeous shops and really authentic Mexican food to munch on. And the best way to explore is to rent a bike and spend a lazy day riding around. You’ll also be able to ride your bike to the Tulum ruins and some really stunning fresh water swimming spots. Maybe keep the bike for a few days if you can.
Nearby you’ll find the Mayan ruins and the ruins at Coba are next level
The Mayan ruins in Tulum are a stunning look back in history. While some are really close by (only 15 minutes by bike from our retreat), you’ll find the ruins in Coba about 40 minutes outside of Tulum. These ruins are said to be a little less manicured and are found among the jungle. A lot of this lost city is still to be uncovered so it feels more untouched and raw than some of the other sites.
Did we mention, yoga?
And of course while you’re with us there will be yoga and a bunch of like-minded people to explore the city with. When you come with us on our retreat there will be daily yoga classes at the stunning yoga shala with both hip-hop and yin happening. There will also be the option to attend meditation and pranayama sessions to dive that little bit deeper. But we like you to be able to run your own retreat, so the schedule is flexible and there’s more than enough free time to explore with your newfound friends.
