Raw cacao bliss balls

by Monica Yates

Most bliss balls are actually full of sugar, even ‘natural’ sugar. So I’ve come up with a recipe that has no sugar in it (and you can even omit the stevia if you want) and is full of nutrients. Hemp seed protein is the only plant protein that I recommend because it isn’t full of preservatives and doesn’t disrupt the gut lining like other plant-based protein powders. The hemp protein and raw cacao have high levels of magnesium which is great for relaxing muscles and reducing stress.

4 Tbsp hemp seed protein (I use MyHemple)
2 Tbsp hemp seeds
1 Tbsp raw cacao
2 heaped Tbsp almond butter (or any but nutter)
1 Tbsp psyllium husk
1 tsp cinnamon
6 drops of stevia (optional)
2 tsp pure vanilla bean essence (make sure there is no added sugar)
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 cup coconut oil

1. In a food processor, blend everything until smooth. If the mixture is too dry, add a splash of warm water

2. Roll the mixture into golf ball sized balls and store in the fridge in a glass container
