About the training

Reconnect to your personal practice

This 5 day teaching program will give you the chance to reconnect with yourself, your peers, and your practice. As a yoga teacher you will go through many phases of connection to the practice. Before you started teaching you probably found it easier to focus on your own practice. Now you might find yourself spending more time teaching rather than being a student. When yoga is your job it can be hard to give it your all when you aren’t working.

This program is designed to help you come back to your own practice as a student so you can be your best self as a teacher. You will come back to what made you love yoga in the first place and bring that into all you share.

Become an effective and empowered yoga teacher

In this mentorship you will work closely with both Patrick and Carling to elevate your teaching and distinguish yourself as an effective leader in your community. Each day will begin with a 2hr physical practice that will sharpen your senses through progressive asana that builds to fit your body’s strengths and needs.

In the afternoons we will work through the key pieces of becoming an effective and empowered yoga teacher. We will work together to move past generic cueing and adjustments to refine what makes each of us capable of accessing the best teacher that resides within us all.

The teachers

Patrick Beach

Patrick teaches Awakening Yoga, a vigorous and fluid vinyasa yoga practice that builds strength, creates flexibility and inspires play. Patrick’s teaching goes beyond intelligent alignment; moving any willing student to an introspective, holistic experience. Patrick is based in Los Angeles, CA and travels the world leading classes, workshops, and teacher training programs. Named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Yoga Teachers by Greatist & Sonima Live, his strong presence has allowed him to share yoga with a broad and diverse community of students.

Carling Harps

Carling is a yoga teacher by devotion and trade, a writer by necessity, a birth doula by unexpected love, and a dabbler in the culinary world of deliciousness by a sheer appreciation of deliciousness. She has been fortunate enough to share the practice while teaching workshops, teacher trainings, and wellness retreats across the globe and online. At the core of her teachings, Carling seeks to give students the tools and agency to access their own unique needs, to help them to create new mind-body connections, and allow them to continue to find the center of themselves. Each practice is designed to weave movement and mindfulness through informed sequencing; compassionate, intentional adjustments, and her whole-hearted, down to earth approach.
